So far, so good

SDC11189 Just visualise the little green tent in a sheltered spot

Well, I had an email from John this morning, I am vetted, yey! My route has drawn some compliments, “an interesting” and “really nice” route and the sort of helpful advice and tips you’d expect and hope for from people far more experienced and knowledgeable than me. I’m delighted! Nothing to change and lots to look forward to.

I_am_so_excited!

Now, who’s turn is it to organise the weather?

Well done, Louise!

I've never heard of a route being OK'ed with nothing to change.

I'm still waiting for my Vetter feedback. One thing for sure is that there will be a few No-Nos and you must be mads.

And, the weather next May - perfect!

I am just a little smug Gordon, that's two routes in a row that have been OKed straight off!

Last years was a so called trade route and comments came back in less than 24hrs. This year it's taken 2 weeks! Must be a far superior route!?!

So you're in charge of the weather in May? You'll be wanting spectacular days to get up high I'm sure, best make a good job of it.
See you at The Park!

Very impressive, miss!

I have yet to meet with Andy & WeeWillyWilky to discuss our route. I tihnk we have more or less agreed a start point though... well, Andy & I have and that's a majority...

Yes Gordon: Please sort out some decent weather. Now that I am aware who is in charge of weather, it will all be Your Fault if we get shitty stuff.

What a smart cookie! Well done! I might be able to finish my route if I could get over the Libran indecision thing.....not much more to do....

Louise said...

Thanks Alan. Majority rule? I thought you wore the trousers...

Must admit it was my indecision that drove me to plan early. Well, that and a little OCD ;-)

Me? Wearing the trousers? That's a laugh! As I grow older I realise that I have never metaphorically 'worn the trousers'

They have been mere adornments to my lower body, the contents of which were removed some time ago..... sigh....

Alan, you'd look a bit odd without them love, (the trousers that is) but I'm quite sure the other two will be glad of someone so experienced and knowledgable taking charge.

(The male ego is such a delicate thing! ;-D)

Whoever organises the weather this year, I'd be grateful if they didn't follow the example set by last year's weather-organiser!

I've now plotted next year's route and, this evening, am trying to concentrate on getting it written up onto the route sheet for submission. Clearly failing on the concentration, as I only managed to write two days up before getting distracted on t'internet...

Louise said...

Ah, but, I found if I tried to concentrate and press on, I started to make silly mistakes (transposing numbers on GRs and road numbers) very frustrating and time consuming to correct. (Mind you, this could just be an age thing, I'm having all sorts of memory and concentration issues!) I missed a few which Bernie was kind enough not to point out (but David didn't pull any punches!) Have fun, you're sure to have a really interesting route in the end.

I've hired a Tardis for May 2012.

It will transport all back to May 2008. The weather was superb for the time I was up around Dalwhinnie!

Oh, must go ......... men in white coa........

Is it anything like flying? I don't like flying...

..ts!

Now, I know that smuggnessossity feeling too! My route is OK'ed.

Lets hope this year the weather is good.

How exciting! Look forward to hearing all about it. And then reading it too!
