Wow! That was quick!

I have my route back already, Alvar and Ann Thorn have given me some really useful tips and my route has the all clear! Not really surprising, not because of my excellent planning, but because it's a very simple route. It should have signposts saying "First Time Challengers This Way"!

Very excited now.

Well done Louise. You must have planned it well or you'd have received a bucket load of comments. My route has come back as well. With the usual suggestions along the lines "do you realise you have walked past (hill) which is a magnificent viewpoint", etc etc. Some adjustments have to be made....
I wonder whether our paths will cross en route?

And? And? And? Where does it start from? Where does it go to? Where does it go through?

(Sorry if you've already said and I've just forgotten.)

Hi Martin, nice to hear from you. I don't think I necessarily did a good job, I just chose a simple route. I did get one or two useful tips, like navigating to Shielin of Mark!

I don't think I've said which route I finally settled on, but it's a straightforward one from Shiel Bridge, Glen Affric, (Cougie, Guisachan, Torgyle Bridge) Fort Augustus, Corrieyairack Pass, Newtonmore, Glen Feshie, Braemar, (yey!) Gelder Shiel, Shielin of Mark, Tarfside, Northwater Bridge, St Cyrus.
Anyone crossing my path?

Sounds a nice route - similar to the one I did with Sue in 2008 - you may have followed it at the time.
This year we won't see you until NWBridge (unless we bump into you when crossing Glen Feshie).

Our current route (carefully worded because I may yet change our start point, although I see no reason why the second half would change) sees us going through Braemar, Shielin of Mark and Tarfside - so I'm sure we'll bump into each other somewhere!

Hopefully Braemar (middle Saturday) and then Gelder Shiel, Sheilin of Mark (I think I can remember how to find it!) and Tarfside. After than I'm going Brechin and Lunan Bay - so we'll catch up again in Montrose. Which day are you finishing?

P.S. I like the new look blog page!

Martin, NWBridge sounds good!

Ooo, Gayle! Oh paths just have to cross! Excellent stuff.

Laura, I'm in Braemar from Friday lunch till Sunday 'morning' (might be a late start as it's a short day!) so maybe I'll have company for a day or two. I think I might have lots of stories to tell of all the holes I've been down... I'm hopefully finishing on the Thursday and I will be popping into the bar!

Thanks Laura, the change to the blog was a bit of an accident. I was experimenting and then couldn't remember where I'd started, so this is it!

That's pretty good getting it back without alterations to do, first time around!
Braemar, SofM, Tarfside, NWB & Montrose too! (And I should be at Braemar on the Friday evening 'til Sunday lunchtime too.
Blog does look very smart btw.#
V Impressed with the pack weight too.

Word = "humpw" (a keen Challenger)

Thanks Alan! I was quite chuffed with the route, but it is dead straight forward, no imagination required. This year... Thought I deserved a long day off somewhere, Braemar looked a sociable place to do it!
Pack weight is looking good and now I'm employing one or two of Gayle and Laura's tips, it might not go up too much!
Blog's a bit scarey if you ask me, should have been paying more attention when I started tinkering.
