There has been walking…

But I have been very busy doing other stuff as well!

So here’s a quick round up.

David and I went for a quick stroll around Altyre.

P1020260

Tried to show him a track I’ve used before, but not for some time. I lost it.

P1020259

Ooops!

I went back again in the snow and did a different route.

P1140267

Low sun

P1140268

Blair’s Loch

P1140269

Altyre church

P1140270

I did NOT slip on the frozen snow, just before taking this photograph

P1140271

Half frozen

P1140272

Broken in the storms

P1200273

Frozen Blair’s Loch

P1200274

Frosty oak leaves

P1200275

Frosty ferns

P1200276P1200277

The little blog to the right of the tree trunk in the centre of the photograph is a red squirrel. Trust me.

P1200278

The site of the old curling rink has been cleared, the folly on the right

P1200279

A different view of the folly

P1200280

Not sure…

P1200281

…what I was interested by

P1200282

The old and the new estate fencing

P1200283

Ha! Yes, they were shooting, but luckily I’d change my mind about my route before I came across them, going the way I should have been coming!

P1200284

And I used my micro spikes!

P2110292

The pond, not frozen

P2110293

The swans, ready to make their new home

P2110294

Snowdrops

P2110296

Nice tree

P2110297

Really liked that tree

P2110298

Light on a nice tree

P2110299

A view (after I took the path I’d intended to take with David…)

P2110300

Fab bark on a silver birch

P2110301

Different lighting

P2110304

Remaining autumn fruit

P2110305

Dava Way, nearly at the Dallas Dhu distilliary

P2110306

Looking up through the branches to the blue sky

I’ve also walked home from Forres a couple of times by my alternative route (instead of the cycle path all the way)

P1080261

A pointless gate

P1080262

The pointless gate fastened with barbed wire?!

P1080263

Part of the Chapleton flood alleviation scheme

P1080264

More of the flood alleviation scheme

And then the weather got horrible and the camera went away

P2230311

I do not know…

P2230312

…I found half a ski with a wooden block screwed onto it

P2230313

Looking south along the Dava Way

P2230314

Different lighting

P2230315

Why??!!!

And there’s been walking with Laura!!

We did my Loch Romach circuit, with a bit of snow.

P2060285

It was a grey day over the Moray Firth

P2060286

Somewhere over there is Ben Wyvis

P2060287

Slightly snowy track, but we didn’t resort to micro spikes

P2060288

Laura catching me up

P2060289

Some people really are that stupid

P2060290

The frozen loch

P2060291

Through the trees towards the other end of the loch

And then we returned to the Revack Estate for a short walk, coffee but no cake!

P2180307

The view from the viewpoint

P2180308

We found this unusual method of harvest…

P2180309

…quite devastating

P2180310

By these people

And that is about it really. Obviously, no complete write ups, but that’s because none of the walks were new.

Don't know how I missed this post for so long ... but better late than never!

Those 'don't know why I took these' photos - I sometimes find those on my camera too. Sometimes some zooming in reveals the motivation, but more often I remain clueless. Sometimes I even find myself taking a photo whilst thinking "I'll look at this one later and have no idea why I took it.".

I have a lot of photos that I have no clue about. A lot.

Pleased to see the RED, look after them before it's too late. We had some & the Grays killed them off.
Drive the grays out, Pine Martins are an excellent ally.
