Ooops

I had every intention of waiting for my new sleeping bag. Waiting until I’d talked to lots of people, waiting for a sale, waiting till I’d saved up. So how did that PHD Minim 400 bag, with Drishell blue and left hand zip, find it’s way into my basket?

Oh dear.

So much for my good intentions and resolve…

(Alan should take some blame, he directed me (back) to their site earlier and I got, er, side-tracked. I blame him. Thank you, Alan!)

Money is no use in the bank. get it spent!
That’s a darn fine bag. Do you have to wait 30 days for it or have you made alternate arrangements so that you get it for the chally?

I take no responsibility, honest!

You are a very, very bad gurl. So that's new shoes and bag.
Ear-rings & lippy next?

Alan, I do try to excercise restraint with the pennies, but sometimes, 'I think I'm worth it'! I have to wait 30 days, but a friend has very kindly lent me a Rab Quantum 400W, so I shall be quite snug for the Chally.
Oh, and you will take responsibility because my husband knows how easily lead I am ;-)

Alan, my thinking was with enough Tamdhu, lippy would be redundant...

Money spent on good quality hiking gear is money well spent. And, just like you said, "just because you're worth it".

(I blame Internet, btw. I wouldn't even know about most of the gear it there was no Internet.)

You are absolutely right! I hate shopping and I never bought a thing until the internet invaded my life. Now, it's sooo much easier.

Just received my PHD bag cover. It’s sooooo light. 153gr. Brill. (If it was a bit cheaper it would be an ideal groundsheet protector).

Hope the chally packing is going well and good luck on the crossing.
We will both look forward to reading about the adventure.

Only a little jealous, mine should be waiting for me when I get home, or maybe at the beginning of next month, should be worth waiting for.

Chally packing, yes, well. I have a list and a huge pile of 'stuff'. That's the trouble with using down kit, especially the borrowed bits, you have to leave it until the last minute to pack. Still, by then, it should at least all be in the one pile and I won't have to run all over the house searching for it!

I'll certainly be doing a write up when I get home, no on the move blogging for me. At least I can touch type, so writing it all up shouldn't take as long as some people. Maybe.
