That’s it then

I’ve bought my bus ticket to Shiel Bridge, £5. I don’t think I’ll bother buying a train ticket from Montrose, most people will be going in the opposite direction! My accommodation for first and last nights are booked, food is bought, got all my kit, I’ve just got to make contact with the camp sites.

Makes it all a bit, well, real.

Yikes.

  1. OOOH! It's getting a bit close now! I managed another 10k walk today!
I'm planning a free-bus-pass journey to Oban - accommodation is booked already....can't really do practice packing till I get back home....haven't done food lists yet! HELP!

  2. OMG! Is it that close? Now where did I put my rucksack last year, and the tent, and the sleeping bag. Should I try to get fit or is it all too late?

...it's all too late ... as usual :-(

  3. Hey Laura, 10k, keep it up! Make the most of that bus pass, won't you?! I've had to step away from the practice packing. Makes me panic...
Phil, your kit should be stored neatly, on shelves, in a cupboard, in alphabetical order. Or is that just me?! And you've plenty of time to get fit, you can practice at home you know, a tinny emptied into a pint glass, one in each hand, alternate raises...

  5. I had that 'gear to be fixed' panic in the middle of February. Sent my boots off to LSR to be resoled and they came back within five days, as good as new. Trouble was, I then had similar problems with them as when I first got them, sore legs and rubbed heals, panic! Thankfully, I've got used to them again much more quickly this time, phew.
You should have a list Alan (in alphabetical order, preferably...) it helps.
