They are ghastly litle blighters. Ii picked up over thirty of the devils (mostly on my legs but a few made it to my armpits!) on this year's very northerly Challenge - thats about thirty more than usual!
I think it was because a lot of my route was off the beaten track - heather-bashing my way across heathery bogland and I wasn't wearing gaiters.

Tweezers and Lagavulin did it for me.
Ugly little blighters when you get a good close up. Still, baptism by fire and I won, yey!
